We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic IT Project Team. This is a critical role within a global engineering structure, requiring seamless collaboration with our North American teams. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining advanced automated test suites and driving process efficiency within the DevOps pipeline.

Note: This position requires working hours that align with the first half of Eastern Time (EST), generally translating to a late afternoon/evening shift in India, to ensure real-time collaboration with key stakeholders and developers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Automation Design & Test Execution

• Design, create, and maintain robust, reusable, and scalable automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver, Java, and relevant tools.
• Explore and integrate AI/ML techniques to enhance automation efficiency (e.g., smart test generation, self-healing).
• Manage test data and execute all test cases; proactively manage the defect lifecycle using JIRA or similar systems.
• Achieve and maintain high test coverage (e.g., at least 80%) and ensure all automated processes are documented.

2. Quality Assurance, Security, & Resilience

• Conduct web accessibility testing for WCAG compliance and complete application vulnerability/penetration testing.
• Generate code quality reports (e.g., SonarQube) and execute Fortify scans via automation to enforce secure code practices.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies in collaboration with global Architecture and Engineering teams.
• Execute rigorous resilience testing and validate deployment plans.

3. Process Optimization & Global Influence

• Act as a Process Influencer to optimize Change Management and tool integration within the CI/CD pipeline.
• Modify the SDLC to ensure adherence to the Engineering Handbook and security best practices.
• Shorten and amplify feedback loops for faster product delivery and higher quality.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Expertise in testing frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber.
• Expertise in DevOps principles and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong familiarity with version control (Git), SonarQube, and Fortify.
• Proven expertise in designing and executing resilience testing plans.
• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication and active listening skills, essential for seamless collaboration with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams in a global setting.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Practical experience or knowledge of AI/ML applications in QA.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar defect/test management systems.
• Experience in web accessibility testing (WCAG compliance).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP or ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in Automation Testing.
